Day at the beach..

What would be a prime example of the result of time and nature, if not a beach? With that thought in my head, I went to my local beach which I knew held some beautiful ship wreaks. I love the colours and textures which can be found at the sea. They are so rich and devoid of any tainting of urban environments. There is nothing artificial about the environment. I also love the vibrant, wet colours of the green seaweed contrasting with the red rust of the shipwreak!!

The seaweed fluidly draped over the rocks add vibrant life to an otherwise dull inanimate object. The seaweed literally captures and reflects the light.

Even the rocks have beautiful hues of colour, I love this yellow-mustardy colour

I ESPECIALLY love these images of the shipwreak in the sea. Thankfully, I was blessed with a beautiful day to go to the beach. The sea was a beautiful blue-green which strongly contrasted with the reds and oranges of the rust. It made the shipwreak stand out, Striking!!

The range of colours and textures are wonderful. Especially to an art students eye. Here is a perfect example of a man made object subjected to time and nature..and how it has been manipulated into decay. it has now been claimed by nature. The ship which once sailed proud amongst the waves is being torn apart bit by bit, fish swim amongst the debris of the wreak and linchen clings to its decks. And so is the cycle of life :)

Claimed by the Sea..

I like how in this image there is a combination of the organic and artificial world. Could I manipulate this into my brief??
